It looks more and more likely that the only head coach to take the modern Cleveland Browns to multiple playoff trips during his tenure with the club is running out of time to turn the ship around. Kevin Stefanski is 1-5 to start the season, last in the AFC North, as Cleveland Browns playoff chances dwindle.
Given that run of losses, it’s safe to assume that Stefanski is among the leaders to join former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh on the firing line, especially as the Browns maneuver their current quarterbacking conundrum.
Given Stefanski’s precarious job security, we have created hypothetical odds for which head coach will be roaming the sidelines in Cleveland next. These odds are exclusive to BetOhio.com, your source for the best Ohio betting promotions.
Candidate | Current Job | Odds | Percent Chance |
Kevin Stefanski | Current Browns Head Coach | -140 | 58.4% |
Mike Vrabel | Former Titans Head Coach | +1100 | 8.3% |
Todd Monken | Current Ravens OC | +1200 | 7.7% |
Bobby Slowik | Current Texans OC | +2000 | 4.8% |
Klint Kubiak | Current Saints OC | +2000 | 4.8% |
Ben Johnson | Current Lions OC | +2500 | 3.8% |
Aaron Glenn | Current Lions DC | +4000 | 2.4% |
Brian Flores | Current Vikings DC | +4000 | 2.4% |
The Field |
| +1250 | 7.4% |
This week, Stefanski will look to turn the tide around in the Browns’ home game against in-state rival, the Cincinnati Bengals. Oddsmakers from the bet365 Ohio Sportsbook list Cleveland as a 5.5-point road underdog in the showdown of AFC North franchises.
Right now, we’re still riding with Stefanski to keep his job in 2025.
We give the fifth-year head coach -140 odds (an implied probability of 58.4%) to return for a sixth season in Cleveland next season.
Outside candidates to consider include former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, who checks in at +1100 to replace Stefanski. That would translate to an 8.3% implied probability if that prop was offered by operators for Ohio sports betting.
Current Baltimore Ravens and former Georgia Bulldogs offensive coordinator Todd Monken is next up, at +1200.
Longshots to keep an eye on in Cleveland include a trio of NFL offensive coordinators: Bobby Slowik of the Houston Texans and Klint Kubiak of the New Orleans Saints (+2000 each), plus Ben Johnson of the Detroit Lions (+2500).
Other names to keep an eye on with the Browns should they have an opening at head coach include Johnson’s colleague in the Motor City, Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn. Former Miami Dolphins head coach and current Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores joins Glenn at +4000 to replace Stefanski in Cleveland next season.

As we wait to see whether Browns owner Jimmy Haslam opts to part ways with Stefanski, it’s worth keeping an eye on some of the NFL’s up and coming coordinators. One of them could get the nod to be the next man up along the banks of Lake Erie in 2025.
