Few uniforms in pro sports are as easily identifiable as the Cincinnati Bengals. The NFL team switched to its iconic tiger-striped helmet more than 40 years ago. Over the years, the jerseys and pants have changed, but the stipes remain on the shoulders and the pants. And the teamās form in recent season makes Cincinnati Bengals Super Bowl odds an interesting topic.
Currently, the team has three jerseys ā white, black and orange. The Bengals wear white jerseys with either their traditional orange helmet or the alternate āWhite Bengalā helmet. Combine that with white-and-black pants and socks colored white, black and orange for a variety of potential uniform combinations.
The Bengals have not yet revealed which jerseys they will wear for each game in the 2024 NFL regular season. BetOhio.com wanted to take a look at past Bengals performances to see if there was a jersey that yielded better results. Using Pro-Football-Reference.com and the Gridiron Uniform Database website, we looked at the past five seasons and found the win-loss percentages for all the jerseys the Queen City team wore.

Note: These results include two seasons when the team wore its old jerseys. Cincinnati switched to its current uniforms for the 2021 season, which also coincides with the Bengals becoming one of the leagueās elite teams (DraftKings Ohio Sportsbook gives +1300 odds for Cincinnati to win the Super Bowl). Bengals Alternate Looks Look Like Winners
The NFL considers the White Bengal uniform (which includes a white helmet) and the orange jersey as the two alternate looks for Cincinnati Bengals jerseys. Under league rules, teams are allowed to wear those up to three times each season. In the past two seasons, Cincinnati has worn the all-white look twice each season and the orange jerseys once.
The team has saved the White Bengal look for primetime games in recent seasons ā check out the Cincinnati Bengals playoff chances to see how critical those games will be in 2024.
Last year, the team wore the all-white combo for Monday Night game at home against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3 and at Jacksonville in Week 13. The latter contest was one of the best in Cincyās 9-8 season as backup quarterback Jake Browning led the Bengals to a 34-31 victory. Browning completed 32-of-37 passes for 354 yards and a touchdown and added another score on the ground.
Cincinnati also tends to hold its orange jerseys for other big games. Last year, a 16-10 Week 12 home loss to AFC North rival Pittsburgh ended a five-game winning streak in the orange threads ā if you like to wager on such trends at Ohio sports betting apps. That streak included two big home wins against the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021 and 2022.
Potential Alternate Uniform Games in 2024
We probably wonāt know the jersey schedule until August. But considering trends, we can make an educated guess about which games might feature Cincinnatiās alternate looks. Both of those are favorites among the Who Dey Nation faithful.
Cincyās first primetime game is at home on a Monday, just like last year. The Washington Commanders might not be considered a big-time opponent, but itās still a night game. Itās also when the Bengals will honor their two newest Ring of Honor inductees, which also has happened during White Bengal games.
The second all-white game typically takes place on the road, again for an Ohio sports betting matchup scheduled for primetime. Cincinnati plays at Dallas on Monday, Dec. 9, but the odds of Dallas not wearing its home whites are unlikely. The better bet would be the Nov. 7 Thursday night matchup at Baltimore, which could help decide the AFC North.
For the orange jersey, a couple of games seem like compelling candidates. On Oct. 27, the Bengals host the Philadelphia Eagles for a late Sunday afternoon affair that could be a Super Bowl preview. Caesars Ohio Sportsbook gives both teams odds of +1300 to win it all this season, tying them with the Houston Texans as the co-fifth choice.
If not, the Bengals could decide to bring it back for a home game against the Steelers on Dec. 1. Cincinnati is 1-1 versus Pittsburgh in the alternate look.
