How Has Satterfield Fared in October?
Scott Satterfield took over as Cincinnati head coach in December 2022, replacing Luke Fickell, who moved on to Wisconsin. However, this is not Satterfield's first rodeo. He has had stints at Appalachian State and, most recently, Louisville. During his 11-year career, Satterfield already sits in the middle of the Big 12 October rankings, placing fifth after compiling a 24-15 (.615) record.
Kansas State head coach Chris Klieman tops the list with the best winning percentage in October with a 30-7 (.811) record. Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy has the most wins in October, posting a 46-21 (.687) record.
Three-Game October Slate
The Bearcats have a road trip to BYU Friday (ESPN, 10:15) and are 2-point and -135 moneyline favorites at Caesars Sportsbook Ohio. After that, the Bearcats will prepare for a three-game October slate with a bye week in the first week.
Two home games await Cincinnati with first-ever meetings with Iowa State on Oct. 14 and Baylor on Oct. 21. A trip to Oklahoma State ends the month on Oct. 28. This will be the fourth meeting between the two schools, with the Cowboys holding a 2-1 edge but the teams haven’t met in 40 years.
As of Tuesday morning, BetMGM Ohio has Cincinnati at +10000 (tied with Oklahoma State) to win the Big 12 Championship this season. The Bearcats are also listed at +50000 to win the national championship.
