When the latest round of Ohio sports betting license applications was announced, it was as if the state had become Las Vegas: All the heavy hitters are now coming to the Buckeye State seeking new fortunes.

One of the new partnerships announced Tuesday is between SuperBook and the MLS franchise FC Cincinnati, with SuperBook becoming the exclusive official sports betting partner of the Orange and Blue.

The partnership with FC Cincinnati will allow SuperBook to launch a mobile app in Ohio and compete in the market for wagers on a wide variety of sporting events, according to a news release.

It will be the latest addition to the Ohio mobile betting apps marketplace.

SuperBook presently runs the largest sportsbook in Las Vegas at the Westgate Resorts Hotel, with the sportsbook world’s largest wall of TV screens.

SuperBook Retail Sportsbook Part of Deal

It therefore is only logical that the partnership will also include a brick-and-mortar SuperBook sportsbook in Cincinnati where fans will be able to bet on sports while watching sports — lots and lots of sports.

“We are extremely excited to partner with an industry leader like SuperBook,” Jeff Berding, Co-CEO of FC Cincinnati, said in the release. “Their focus on the sports fan, in addition to their ability to provide a seamless experience, fully aligns with all we do at FC Cincinnati.”

Unsurprisingly, SuperBook was also thrilled with the deal.

“SuperBook could not be more pleased to partner with an outstanding team like FC Cincinnati,” SuperBook Sports Vice President of Marketing Kristin Mackey said in the release.

“Their focus on the fan experience, the pride in their brand and their commitment to the sport is exactly in line with the SuperBook brand. We look forward to continuing to grow this partnership and provide the best sports wagering experience to fans.”

SuperBook Sports presently operates in Nevada, Colorado, New Jersey, Arizona and Tennessee and is looking to expand into other states.

State Needs to Approve Partnership

The partnership is pending approval by the Ohio Casino Control Commission, which will award licenses later this year.

Sports betting will go live in the state on Jan. 1, 2023. When it does, bettors should take advantage of the host of great in-state offers, like the Caesars Ohio promo code

The OCC wanted Ohio sports betting apps and all venues ready to launch at the same time. There was a rush on applications arriving before the July 15 deadline, including most pro teams in the state.

Operators that didn’t apply for licenses by July 15 can still submit applications, but won’t be guaranteed the Jan. 1 launch date.

You can expect Ohio sportsbook promo codes to be readily available as the launch date nears.

The other MLS team in Ohio, the Columbus Crew, has partnered with Tipico Sportsbook for Ohio sports betting. Columbus and Cincinnati are currently sixth and seventh, respective, in the MLS Eastern Conference standings.
