Horse racing bettors in Ohio will have another mobile app to use for wagering.
NYRA Bets and Caesars Sportsbook announced Wednesday the Caesars Racebook app is live and available in Ohio. On Wednesday, Florida was also announced as a state going live, with plans to add additional states throughout the year.
If you want to bet on horse races in Ohio, registering for the Caesars Racebook app will be eligible for a 100% first deposit match up to $500, according to a news release.
Caesars Sportsbook Ohio and the New York Racing Association in January announced an initial partnership deal making Caesars the official sports betting marketing partner in New York and the title sponsor of the NYRA Turf Triple Series at Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course.
There are Plans for 30 More States
“The launch of Caesars Racebook is an important milestone as we continue to add wagering opportunities for our customers and livestreaming content for the first time,” Dan Shapiro, senior vice president and chief development officer of Caesars Digital, said in a news release. “Caesars Racebook is truly differentiated as the first horse racing advance deposit wagering app to include our award-winning Caesars Rewards loyalty program.
“We look forward to welcoming new horse racing customers and existing fans onto the platform and to working with NYRA Bets to grow horse racing as we deploy Caesars Racebook with plans to launch in about 30 states across the country.”
Ohio betting sites was signed into law last December, but has yet to launch. Horse race wagering is legal in the state.
The state announced Wednesday the universal start date in Ohio will be Jan. 1, 2023.
At launch, racing fans will also have another great operator to consider using – FanDuel Ohio.
The first two legs of the Triple Crown are complete. An 80-1 longshot, Rich Strike, won the Kentucky Derby on May 7. Two weeks later, Early Voting captured the Preakness in Baltimore. The Belmont is set for June 11 in Elmont, New York.
Caesars & the NYRA Bets Platform
According to the news release, Caesars Racebook uses the NYRA Bets platform for pari-mutuel wagering on horse races from more than 250 racetracks.
The app allows betting on major races at tracks in the U.S. and internationally, including Belmont Park, Saratoga Race Course, Del Mar, Santa Anita and Keeneland. Caesars also has wagering at its tracks — Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Horseshoe Indianapolis, Harrah’s Philadelphia and Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs, the release said.
