The Ohio betting sites ball continues to roll with just over two months until the universal launch on New Year’s Day.
On Thursday, Barstool Sportsbook Ohio and FanDuel Ohio were approved by the Ohio Casino Control Commission as mobile management services providers, putting them on track to launch in the Buckeye State on Jan. 1.
Earlier this month, the Ohio Casino Control Commission announced that five sportsbooks – SuperBook Sports, Caesars Sporstbook Ohio, bet365, Betfred, PointsBetOhio – were the first gaming operators to be approved for licenses in Ohio. So, for instance, a Caesars Ohio promo code is coming your way.
Twenty-five online sports betting licenses will be granted to a casino or sports team in Ohio, which can partner with two sports gaming providers.
Barstool Sportsbook now will allow sports betting patrons to accept online bets via Hollywood Casino in Columbus and FanDuel will take online wagers through Belterra Park Gaming in Cincinnati. Like Caesars, keep an eye out for a FanDuel Ohio promo code.
The two providers were also conditionally approved for retail management services provider licenses, which paves the way for their retail sportsbooks down the road. Of course, both operators will have to compete with the value offered by using a Tipico Ohio promo code.
Barstool Sportsbook is expected to operate in-person sportsbooks at each of Ohio’s four $PENN Entertainment casinos in Youngstown, Toledo, Columbus and Dayton.
BetOhio.com reported Oct. 5 that the Ohio Casino Control Commission must receive “complete, final and Commission-approved versions of responsible gaming plans, required procedures, house rules, facility plans, geolocation procedures, and equipment test reports” by Nov. 2 for businesses hoping to go live when the calendar flips to 2023.
Standard sports gaming employee applications have the same deadline, per the Ohio Casino Control Commission.
