Cavs Among Top 10 Most Cost-Efficient NBA Teams

Fact Checked by Jim Tomlin

The NBA regular season is upon us, and it’s none too soon for Ohio sports betting or Cleveland sports fans.

Cleveland fans just saw their Guardians send end last weekend to the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series. The Browns, losers of five straight and in last place in the AFC North, are more likely to land the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft than they are to reach the playoffs. So, that leaves the Cavaliers as the city’s last best hope to win a title.

Now, it’s somewhat of a longshot for the Cavs. Oddsmakers at bet365 Ohio Sportsbook list the Cavaliers at +4000 to win the NBA title. Still, the team is expected to be competitive and should make the playoffs come springtime.

As an added perk, Cleveland fans will get excellent value when they watch their team play at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

At BetOhio.com, your source for the best Ohio sportsbook promos, we created a scoring system factoring in average NBA ticket cost, cost of beer at each venue, and each team’s record from the 2023-24 season. Teams with a better record and lower costs rank higher on our list.

Average Cost For Cleveland Cavaliers Games

According to TicketSmarter.com, the average price for a ticket to see the Cavs at home is about $186.50. However, that includes floor-level and suite prices, which boost the average significantly. If you don’t mind watching from a higher section, you might be able to score seats for $20 or less.

The Cavs are led by standout guard Donovan Mitchell. The five-time All-Star has never averaged less than 20 points per game in his previous seven seasons, and he scored 21 in the team’s 136-106 win Wednesday at Toronto. Mitchell is listed 10th to win the NBA Scoring Average Title at DraftKings Ohio Sportsbook, with his odds at +6000.

Cleveland might have long odds to win it all, but the Cavs are expected to compete for the NBA’s Central Division title. BetMGM Ohio Sportsbook has the Cavaliers as the second choice at +160 to win the division. The Milwaukee Bucks are the favorites to win, with odds listed at +120. Those two teams will play a home-and-home series in early November, with the Cavs hosting the Bucks on Nov. 4.

Oddsmakers also expect the Cavaliers to make a run toward 50 wins over the NBA season. Caesars Ohio Sportsbook set Cleveland’s win total at 49.5, with the over available at -105 odds and the under at -115.
